Such a great business, can't recommend it highly enough. I bought a few carpet remnants from Cascade Flooring (great quality and prices, too) and they recommended Carpet Workroom for binding service. From drop off to pick up, it was excellent and friendly customer service, and the quality of the finished product is fantastic. Yes, you're paying a premium price, but getting a custom size/shape (thank you awkward corner fireplace, haha) rug is 100% worth it. They recommended the felt backing, which I'm so glad they did- it will protect the floor underneath, you won't need a rug pad, and it adds a bit of cushion. I'll definitely use this business again and refer others as well!

There is everything to love about this place. We hired Carpet Workroom to recarpet the stairway and second floor hall of our 1907 craftsman home. We had been waffling on the project for two years after receiving an expensive quote from a well-regarded installer in Portland. I contacted Carpet Workroom based on their excellent reviews here. They absolutely exceeded expectations: 1) Extremely responsive, amiable, and skilled team, all part of a family business (the only people we interacted with in fact were the co-owners Iris and Owen, and their two sons). Crew showed up on time and did an excellent job removing our old carpet and padding, then installing new carpet and padding. We replaced 3 bedrooms and their closets, the did the whole job in only 2 and a half hours. I was so surprised how quickly they worked. They were all so kind and professional. They even replaced a handle on the crawl space door so that it would not be in it's original inconvenient location. They didn't have to do that, but it was very professional. Highly recommend!

We inherited a section of the Portland Airport rug that was the perfect size for a runner, so we were recommended to bring it here for binding. We are SO lucky that we did. Iris and her family own and operate this business and they are one-in-a-million, wonderful people. The whole process was very straightforward, and the service was warm, welcoming, and comprehensive from the start. We were able to get a quote on the phone, including a wholesale pricing discount for our travel from Oregon City, and the rug was done before the pickup time we were quoted at! Iris was so sweet and even included a special gift upon pickup. We will be forever recommending the Carpet Workroom for anything carpet related, thanks for the above and beyond service.
