Whatever cost you think you'll spend getting a Carrier A/C unit, go ahead and add a $900 hidden fee to that. That's how much replacing an entire evaporator coil costs, when theirs fails just 2 years after installation, causing flooding in your attic and water damage to your ceiling. That $900 will not cover the cost to repair the water damage, of course. No, you're on your own for that because Carrier doesn't like to guarantee the craftsmanship of their products. Go with Carrier at your own risk.
NEVER BUY CARRIER Air conditioning unit. They start failing in right after their first year warranty. The service agent will make you buy extended service and the Company will accept no responsibility for selling a faulty unit.
