Cat Valand Landscape Design

We worked with Cat on an hourly basis a few years ago for ideas for our yard. After a recent addition to our home, we needed more help on a plan for our front yard and worked with Cat on a full landscape design plan. She is extremely knowledgeable, has a great eye for design and was so helpful in visualizing how to make the addition fit in with the house through the landscape design. She also turned around the final design very quickly! We felt the work was completely worth what we paid and look forward to fully implementing her design!

Cat is a joy to work with. She caught our vision for our yard so quickly and expanded on it in ways we couldn't have expected. We are so excited to get started and see her design realized. We are so thankful for Cat and her talents.

My mother in law gifted my wife and I a landscape design by Cat Valand. When first speaking with Cat over the phone her energy was so calming and kind. We knew working with her was going to be wonderful, she truly listened to every detail we provided in what we were interested in. Our vibe is not normal for the typical North Carolina weather since we are very bohemian, desert, contemporary driven. After chatting with Cat, she gave us some homework but it was fun homework! She asked that we provide some inspirations photos of what sort of vibe, style, colors, and feeling we were going for in the yard of our new build home. I sent over what was requested and then she came out to the house to do some measurements and photography of the area to get a visual of what she would be working with. W

We hired Cat to develop a landscape plan for our home, and could not be happier with what she delivered. We gave her minimal direction, answered the few up front questions she asked us during her initial site visit and then let her do her thing. We were blown away by what she gave us. The plan was thoughtful, artistic and perfectly suited to our unique home site. She put everything together in less time than she quoted in her verbal estimate, and sat down with us to review that same week.
