First things first: we’d definitely hire Scott again to do work on our pond or property. He replied quickly to requests, was easy to communicate with, was clear about the scope of work and our options, and he delivered a better-than-expected result which impressed my neighbors and county supervisors involved in the project. Now, a few details… Our four-acre pond was home to a family of beavers. They had dammed the spillway in our human-made dam raising the water level by at least a foot. Over time, the water softened the bank and eventually etched a deep gully around the human-made dam that was close to the main road. This threatened to compromise the road and drain the pond by several feet. We needed a quick and affordable solution that would stabilize the dam and prevent future b

Stay away! Scott asked for weekly payment on a large project, so I payed him promptly every week. After months of work, when I eventually asked him for an estimate on the remaining work, he said "I don't work that way" and packed up all of his equipment and left. He left the septic tank wide open with a dangerous hole around it, and left the drainage project dug up but incomplete so that erosion began immediately. He would not respond to any of my phone calls or texts, and didn't seem to care when the building inspector contacted him to let him know that he was liable for any injuries caused by people falling into the hole he left. Scott is probably fine to work with if you give him complete creative control and unlimited budget. If you don't want to do that, stay far away from this compan

We recently built a new house on a challenging site I had seen Scott doing work near our development and asked him to come and view our property to finish the driveway, final grading, drainage and anything else we would need . My wife wanted a trail to the lake plus ATV trails for the kids. We were about to hire another contractor that we chose out of three others. After spending 1 hour with Scott we knew we had the right person for the job. He gave us several references of people he has worked for several years. We called three and received all positive comments about his work knowledge and ability to give us a final picture of the work before he started The project took 2 weeks he never left the site and All the projects were completed to our approval and we were consulted of any chang

Scott Trava did a remarkable job repairing and improving my 0.4 mile dirt and gravel driveway. He also installed a tankless hot water system in my cabin. He is a pleasure to do business with, sticks to a schedule and his workmanship is rock solid and his prices fair. He understands the financial limitations that most of us have and makes creative suggestions. Scott also seems to just genuinely want to see people improve their homes/properties. He spent a morning walking my property suggesting specific trees to be taken down (by my logger, not his) to no benefit of his own and he asked for no compensation for his time. He has been and will continue to be my first choice for any work I need done on my cabin or 40 acres.

We recently had work done by Scott on our pond in Kerhonkson. The pond had developed a leak which we had not been able to find for 3 years. As a result, the pond would not retain water even with regular rain and runoff into it. Scott came to survey the problem and gave us an opinion as to what the issues might be. Other contractors had told us that we would need to line the entire pond with new clay. Scott felt that the problem lay with the retaining berm. Scott's insights proved to be correct. Once there, he found the causes, sent us regular photos and updates on the progress of the work and recommendations to maintain the pond. Our pond is now deeper, holds plenty of water and is a wonderful asset again for swimming. It also looks beautiful once more. Judging by the chorus of f
