Charles Plaza Parking Garage

If I could rate 0 stars - this would be the “winner”. The elevators don’t work and when they do, the last inspection expired YEARS AGO. The cameras don’t work so good luck trying to get into or out of the garage with any ease. Half the time you will leave the garage and later get a ticket in the mail even though you already paid. The only reason that I park in this garage is because my office is close by and supposedly gets a “Deal”. It’s falling down and Spots have signs not to park there because the ceiling is literally falling. The water damage and exposed rebar should be a clear indication that this place should be condemned.

Do not recommend parking here for an event at CFG Arena. Parked here using Spothero for the Stevie Wonder concert. Literally still trapped here in the garage after 2 hours of trying to get out. Had to call Spothero and 911 just to try to get someone out to direct traffic and let us out after hours of gridlock. No parking attendants, no staff and no one answering the phone to help customers exit despite the fact that it’s listed as “24 hours”. Over two hours and no progress! Despicable excuse of service and gross lack of convenience! 2+ hours and counting!

Per apartment staff, this parking garage converted from a ticket system to a QR code almost a year ago, which is fine. EXCEPT, they have not bothered to update the locked door which grants pedestrian access to the garage, which only operates with, you guessed it, a ticket. This meant that I was forced to walk around the building at night, and enter the garage in the only way possible -- walking in where the vehicles enter. Not only was I not anticipating walking around the neighborhood in the dark (ladies, factor that in), it's not safe practice to intentionally walk where the cars are. Oh, and it’s pretty expensive, IMO.

App to open door from lobby does not work: calling the number leads you to a recorded message telling you to email them. Had to walk in via the car entrance... Which was totally not manned or secured in any way, so all that inconvenience also does not make your car safer.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! Prepaid parking….. Had to call 911 to get out of the garage. Waited nearly 2 hours. Finally, at 1AM the Baltimore City Police waved all cars through. I should receive a full refund because many of these cars might not have paid and certainly was not worth the headache or hassle. I will NEVER use this facility ever again!🤬
