Chatham Gravel Driveway & Repair LLC

I had Chatham Gravel come out to lay gravel on my driveway on 7/31, with the main concern of a low spot where water settled. All the workers were extremely friendly and professional. There were a couple of issues after the initial work that had to be corrected, which they came back out a few months later to rectify. Once the job was finally completed, I am very happy with their work. Communication needs improvement to keep the customer aware during the process, and is my only real complaint.

Contracted with Chatham Gravel to replace our very steep, very narrow gravel driveway on the side of a hill, that posed a hazard to large trucks and trucks towing trailers trying to use it. Mike understood the issue immediately and recommended a sensible long-term solution at a reasonable cost. In fact they exceeded our specification for the size of the new driveway and the result is just what we needed to permanently solve the problem. Mike and the crew were all professional, communicative, friendly and respectful. We would use them again for future projects.

It was a horrible experience working with Chatham Gravel Driveway repair due to their poor communication, scheduling problems, sloppy work, and the owner’s, Michael Michaud, bad customer service. The crew were friendly and professional, but they showed up without prior notice and when they were not expected to and no-showed on days they were expected to. Gravel was unevenly spread on my driveway with irregular boundaries, railroad ties were placed and not secured that separated within a few weeks, and various areas where gravel unevenly settled turned into furrows and dips. After multiple attempts and weeks of trying to schedule an appointment via his wife for the owner to personally come out and see the problems for himself, he did not show up. Chatham gravel came out to gravel my driveway. They were very polite, personable, and communicative. The let me know when they were coming ahead of time, confirmed their arrival and were punctual. Beyond that, the product they recommended worked great for drainage and they did a great job leveling it out. Very pleased! Thank you!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They don't stand behind their signed contract or keep their word. We were supposed to have our road graded with a new crown and gravel poured. Contract states follow up repair will be done within 5 years. Our road is washing out in the same places as before and we have called/emailed Chatham Gravel multiple times with no response. Once you pay, they disappear.
