Nice looking tower. Locked up though. No point really coming up here. I rode my bicycle up to visit the highpoint of Clearfield County at and elevation of 2405'
Finally found this place after driving by it so many times over the years. I just live over a couple of hills and mountains and Baney Settlement just on the outskirts of Goshen Township. Lived out here for about 20 years now and people don't realize what kind of gems are just within the 10 mile radius of Goshen and the Shawville Power Plant. I just went to the fire tower this past Sunday with my friend from high school and it's on top of the mountain you have a 360° View around you. You can clearly see "The Knobs" mountain tops.. "Big Knob" & "The Little Knob", as well as the "Chestnut Ridge" mountain range. If you're in the area this is a must see you must stop spot to check out. It's hidden a little bit, so when you're taking "Knobs Road" and you've arrived, you'll vere right and turn up
