Chestnuts In The Ozarks

I ordered Chinquapin trees. I give Mr. Brad a 10 out of 10 they were well packaged and healthy. Very professional. I will definitely use them again. I wish I would have taken pictures. Keep up the great work. You can tell right off the bat that they take care of business and great customer service.

Brad and Sandy Russell are two of the kindest and most informative people you’ll ever meet. They allowed a group of my friends and me to stay at their place for a weekend, and they were the best hosts you could ask for. Their property was extremely impressive, and it’s obvious that they are so passionate about their work at the chestnut farm.

I ordered several lbs of chestnuts for the holidays, couldn’t wait to try them so roasted a bunch last week! They were outstanding!! They will be a hit this holiday amongst our guests. I never knew how good chestnuts taste until I tried the ones from Chestnuts in the Ozarks. Did you know that they can actually be sweet? And when you slow roast them for an hour or more at lower temps, they are absolutely delicious? I think this country needs to come back to its roots and rediscover chestnuts once again and not just know about them from a Christmas song. It’s reassuring to know that Chestnuts in the Ozarks will continue this mission with excellent genetics, care for the trees and wonderful product at the end. We bought several trees from Brad this year. They were all of great quality very tall but still stood upright by themselves. Pic below is with 6 foot tree tubes for comparison. We got them all planted a few weeks ago and they didn’t even suffer any transplant shock. Brad is very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. We will Definitely be back for more trees in the future.
