I cannot say enough about Chimney Scientists! I would highly recommend this company for chimney inspections, repairs, and installation of gas fireplace logs and units. The communication was great! Although our appointment had to be moved back a week (Gas fireplace insert shipment was delayed) Steven and Armando came on time, explained what was going to happen and how long it was going to take. All of my new furniture, new carpet, etc was carefully covered before work started. Steven went over the new gas unit and remote with me and explained everything in addition to giving me the manual. It's a good thing he showed me in detail as we lost power the very next day and I was able to successfully install batteries for everything to continue to work through our one day power outage. They came out to paint and peel some brick to clean it and did not bring enough supplies. Which left the brick looking horrible. Gave a star cause the office was quick to call. Sent another team and assured me they would have enough this time. My in laws were moving in and I needed this done and finish to get them settled in. Due to fumes they had to sleep in our guest room and not their bedroom. To only be told once again from the team coming to remove the paint and peel it was apply too thin again. Leaving my it looking horrible. Update: team arrived apparently not knowing why they were there. Left the brick wall half finished. My father in law had to explain the issue after I was assured they would not leave it a mess again but they still did.

My experience with Chimney Scientists could not have been better. Joe, the owner, went out of his way to make sure everything went smoothly with the preparation of the work that was being done on my chimney and installing my new gas insert and log set. The communication between this company and their customer was excellent. The installers, Gary and Jose, worked so efficiently, they were polite and pleasant and their attention to detail was top notch. They respected my home by covering all of my furniture, using drop clothes in all areas where they would be walking and cleaned up after the job was completed. We had an outstanding experience with Chimney Scientists from start to finish. They were punctual, professional, and communicated clearly, texting us before they arrived so we always knew what to expect. The team was incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to walk us through our options without any pressure at all. They cleaned and repaired our 60-year-old chimney, then installed our wood-burning insert with great care. Chimney Scientists were excellent. They moved up my initial service call on the schedule, their inspector was super knowledgeable and friendly. They found some more serious issues that needed to be addressed and were very fair and reasonable with their pricing and got us moved up on the schedule again for the actual repairs. Fair pricing, very clear communication and easy scheduling and very knowledgeable and helpful. They left everything cleaner than it was before they started the work. Highly recommend and we will use them in the future for all chimney/fireplace related work.
