Cloudland Canyon - Cherokee Falls

Absolutely beautiful. I would say that if you're out of shape like me think hard about whether or not you want to go to the lower waterfall. I did and loved it but going up all those stairs to get back out of the canyon was a month's worth of exercise. Would still do it again though!

Very well maintained trail to the Cherokee waterfall. Well maintained park. Plenty of parking . With $5 park fee. It's great looks at falls

I did this trail twice in a day. The first was from my campsite (11) around West Rim Loop that met up with the trail to head down to the waterfalls. This is a steep descent down to the falls, but there are stairs making it easier than switchbacks. The falls are impressive, especially since it rained all the previous day. Go to the second fall (Hemlock) to admire its power and size. I wish I could have continued on Sitton's Gulch trail all the way to Trenton, but will have to complete that leg next time.

With a short hiking, you can reach to fall easily (but can not tell same from fall to parking lot, you have climb all those steps 😀) A must see beautiful place. If you are a camper, than definitely should visit.

Great hike! Definitely a good workout if you do both sides, ton of stairs down the right side, not the most dog friendly, but beautiful!
