Tim and his wife are two of the kindest business owners in Salem with out a doubt. Advice never comes with a price. Down to earth people. Very humble. In their outgoing telephone message, they explain how they operate. Their main focus is on the people in their shop needing key work. They don’t answer the phone and encourage you to come into the shop if you need things done. It is an old fashoned way to do business and I admire them for it. You can’t get things done in this small business with very limited help if you are on the phone all day. If you leave a message, you might not get a call back but if you go into their shop, you will get first come first served total devotion to your issue for a very reasonable price, lowest in town for sure! Extremely pleasant, capable local business. I came in with a lock core that had a key broken off inside it. Within 5 minutes, they had removed the key, restored the core, and cut me a new key, all at a small fraction of the cost of replacing the core, which I had been prepared to do. Strongly recommend.

You should stop in this place and patronize them. They are a true retro experience. I found myself in 1968. Thousands of keys varieties and and the room exudes older times. I was stunned. True mom/pop business. Support this company. If you need a key, go there and feel (however briefly) what stand alone business used to be like.

They came through for me! I needed a duplicate key made for a small lock box/safe. Although they weren't able to duplicate it at first, they assured me if I brought the item in they could duplicate the key. I'm glad to say they did!!! BTW they have an excellent reputation from many people throughout Salem as THE BEST!

I was so glad they could help me out! A neighboring car 1st called the police and they said they would have to break the car's window to help! That seemed unreasonable.
