Coastal Moving & Storage

When I first contacted Coastal Moving Services after failed support from PODS, they were wonderful, quoting me a reasonable price and moving me quickly. However, this positive experience was short-lived. The moving company ended up quoting me double the initial price. When my belongings arrived, they were crammed into a storage unit in a completely unprofessional manner. Boxes were crushed, furniture broken, and everything else treated with disrespect. Coastal then referred me to another company for claims, but the partner, 51 State Relocation, refused to provide necessary documentation, leaving me over $7,000 in the hole. I’m thoroughly disappointed. If you value your belongings and sanity, do not use these companies.

Quoted me to get me to sign a contract and make a deposit. I luckily recorded all the phone calls. I explain and listed the item list in the first call the second call I went over the I item list 2 more times. They then asked for 2000k more. I paid it. The movers got to my house and stated that al though there was room in the truck they needed more money because they only a lot we me a certain amount of square footage, yes even after I 3x explained what I needed more. I said I wasn’t willing to pay thousands more and told them that 2 other companies warned me about coastal movers, apparently their gig is to give great quotes then add fee after fee once you sign the contract. I said I wasn’t paying more because I told them what I needed moved in advance so they left half of the stuff. They

We had a Military PCS move planned and were randomly assigned Mayflower moving company who used costal moving, and we could not have been happier with our pack out! Mr. Wes was not only professional but a friendly and knowledgeable gentlemen. He packed our entire three bedroom house by him self in amazing time and in a careful and meticulous manner. With how proficient our pack out is we are confident that our shipment will arrive in a timely manner and well cared for. My wife and I would highly recommend anyone to use this company for their move and if you have the pleasure of having Mr. Wes pack your stuff know you are in experienced hands!

ITS BEEN OVER THREE WEEKS AND I STILL DO NOT HAVE MY ITEMS. IN THE PROCESS OF FILING AN INSURANCE CLAIM AMD CONTACTING THE BBB.   My items were picked up Saturday, December 20 from Redondo beach California. I was told I would have them in west palm beach Florida with in the week. Five to seven days then told me. When the movers were at my house, my girlfriend was told the same thing. It has now been 23 days and not only do I not have my stuff, at this point, I don’t think I will ever get them.   The last time I was able to get a hold of someone I was rudely told that it was a 3000 mile move so it would take a couple of weeks. This company is easy to work with. Jennifer came out and quickly assessed how many boxes we would need to move north. Was very friendly and efficient. She and Sue set up everything and jumped thru hoops when closing date was changed and new house wasn't ready. I called in a panic and both ladies worked hard and got it changed quickly which saved a lot of stress!! When we got here the house was not ready so they called Randy the driver, (friendly, calm and very helpful) to switch delivery places. To watch Randy get that semi into the storage unit was something to see!! His two helpers here in NC were awesome also. The truck couldn't fit all the way to the door of storage so they had to shlep all the boxes and furniture a good distance to the unit. Everyone smiled and was friendly even worki
