Colonial Van Lines

Customer service before the move was great. Then they subbed my move to Purple Queen or Posh moving company. The movers who packed me up were great. The mover who dropped off my delivery was horrible. He got lost next to the storage unit. He Thought his drop off was an RV and boat storage lot. I had to call him to redirect. They sent 1 man to unload all my stuff. He wore slippers. Weighted maybe 120lbs. My massage chair weighted 300 lbs. He threw my stuff into the storage unit with no organization. The center of this pile is empty. My nephew crawled into the center and did the best he could to reorganize. My nephew caught a few things before they fell off the truck. Not sure if I have all my stuff as the man didn’t go over my inventory list. When I asked him about my list he claimed not to

This was, without a doubt, the worst moving experience I’ve ever had — and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone. That being said if you want to lose your items, have them all broken, and don’t give a shit about anything and want to pay for it, this company will 100% accomplish all of that and then some for you. When the movers arrived, I wasn’t able to oversee the packing because my father-in-law had just passed away that very moment. I was dealing with a personal tragedy and trusted this company to do their job professionally. That trust was completely misplaced. We had items in storage for a few weeks as we had to urgently get to Europe to arrange for the funeral and Colonial Van Lines pretty much could have taken a truck and run over the items and they would have been in better condition. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Colonial Van Lines made my move from NY to NC completely stress-free! Their team was friendly, supportive, and showed careful concern for the safety of my belongings—especially my baby grand piano, which they packed perfectly. Everything arrived on time and in excellent condition. I couldn’t have asked for better service!

If I could give Colonial Van Lines 0 stars, I would. Our move from South Carolina to New York was a complete disaster. Because our belongings had to go into storage while our house was being built, I was assured we would still have coverage beyond the standard 9-month period. However, once our items arrived in New York and were unloaded off the truck into storage by Colonial Van Lines, it was clear everything had been destroyed. The movers in South Carolina arrived smelling of weed, with bloodshot eyes, and handled our belongings with total disregard.
