We hired Color Houses to take over an expansive historic home renovation and addition in the Old Sixth Ward, Houston. After a nightmare experience with a previous contractor/builder, Color Houses came in and with a sigh of relief, we knew we were finally in good hands. We could trust them to do things the right way, the first time, and with great attention to detail and a fair price. Zach, Eric and their whole team are truly great to work with and we couldn’t recommend them enough. We plan to use them again in the future for other projects.

I have worked with Color Houses several times over the years. Most recently they completed the interior work for a major addition we did on our 1920 Heights' bungalow. This included a variety of cabinetry and built in casework, trim, drywall, painting plaster and anything else that needed attention. They were responsible for the majority of the finish work you see around the house. I office out of my house, which gives me a lot of time throughout the week to truly enjoy and appreciate the work they have completed for me and my family. They were always responsive, accommodating with last-minute requests, and transparent regarding process and construction timeline. Zach was usually on-site during construction and did a great job communicating our design needs to the subcontractors. Color Houses understood our vision, were flexible to fit our needs, and had a great eye for detail & design. Some of our favorite home features were things we collaborated on with them mid-construction — it was clear that they took pride in their work and prioritized quality.
