On Wednesday, May 19, 2021, Ricardo Villarroel, the owner of Villa Pavers and Pools came to my home. He was contacted for an estimate for the building of a new pool. He drew up a plan for how the pool would look and gave me that estimate I wanted. The price he quoted was fair and at that moment we signed a contract to begin the building of our new pool. His sales pitch was very well articulated. But little did I know that I would be the beginning of a nightmare. When signing the contract, a 30% deposit was wired into his company. He stated that in approximately a week we would be receiving paperwork, which were the permit applications for the city on Pembroke Pines. Those applications were received by us on May 26, 2021. Do not under any circumstances hire this company. I hired Luis to remodel my condo. We had some problems while they were performing the work (he wouldn’t supervise the workers, unskilled workers performing work unsupervised) but at the end everything seemed fined. A few months later, there was a bad smell coming out of one of the bathrooms, the smell would come and go, only to find out that the shower walls were not done properly, thinset was not applied on the shower floor or walls, the tiles on the shower walls were not glued with cement, rather a bit of cement was placed on each corner of every tile, and the liner on the shower floor was never placed. Everything that I'm saying here is true and most certainly not false. Luis Alvarez allows Villa Pavers and Pools to use his license for them to do business under his name. Villa Pavers (Ricardo Villarroel)--is an irresponsible individual that has literally robbed people of their money-- It has been 1 year and 4 months and I still don't have a completed pool. Also had a different contract with him for a fence and a screen enclosure and a roof and he took our deposit of $10,625 dollars. Luis took over Ricardo and promised to complete our pool and as of today 8/28/2021 he hasn't done as promised. Contractors beware he will pay you with a credit card, then tell him a credit card company his card was stolen and then get his money back and leave you hanging.

This company is a scam. It's been 3 years with half a pool. Stay clear.
