We had solid surface countertops installed through Lowe's by this group who also installed our sink. Fast forward and our undermount sink has now deattached from the counter. They refuse to fix it, apparently they offer a 1 year limited warranty on countertops only. A licensed plumber looked at the sink and said it was installed incorrectly, using clips that normally fit on a track to secure the sink. Our was installed without the track and with silicone. I would not use this company at all.
I was told the timeline would be about 4 to 6 weeks total until install. After waiting almost 9 weeks they should be installed next week. I was always calling to check on the status of the countertops and they would tell me they would call and get me XYZ information but I would never hear back from them. Hopefully I’m happy with the counters when they get here. Very minimal communication skills. Will not be ordering through Home Depot again if this is the service they use. The install guy, Brian, does seem to be on top of things and communicates well.
I absolutely wish I could leave 0 stars. This was possibly the worst 18 weeks of my life (yes, EIGHTEEN) dealing with Countertop Trends. For a counter that was supposed to take 4-6 weeks max, their ONLY installer, Brian, is constantly busy (how?? How does this place keep getting business??) and after waiting 14 weeks for countertop delivery, we waited another 4 for install. The day of our original install, we had not been told to disconnect the sinks. The installer refused to take accountability for the lack of communication and scheduled us out for weeks later. When he finally returned, he claimed the company cut the counters incorrectly. I don’t actually know if this was his fault in measuring or theirs in cutting but our kitchen sink is the same size as the hole, so instead of the lip
I ordered a counter top from Home Depot and they farmed out the order to these guys. The first counter was not built to my specs, though Home Depot took the hit for that. The second try looks okay, but my problem is with the delivery. They were supposed to schedule a delivery with me, but instead just dropped the countertop off in front of my house when I wasn’t there. They could have been damaged or stolen, and I had to take them inside alone. Unacceptable.
Countertop Trends is who Lowes in Springfield, MO contracted to do our countertops. We are very dissatisfied customers and cannot believe that this countertop passed their Quality department (CT claims that their "quality standards are high" according to their Facebook "About" section- see screenshot). I cannot imagine any QA supervisor seeing this final product and saying "Yes, looks great! I'd be proud to have this in my home!" No. If this were going into their own home or the home of someone they cared about, they would make sure it was done right. We tried to get them to fix it, but because there is no damage to the countertop, CT refuses to offer any solution to fix their awful workmanship and make this right.
