Craftsman Roofing and Masonry

Jonathan did work for my elderly mother. He didn't finish the work but he took her money. He was supposed to finish her driveway but never came back. I have called him several times and he always had a story. I spoke with his brothers Mike, David and Jake they all said the work would be completed,, now they are saying we are not the only customers they have. The last time I called Jonathan he hung up the phone on me. My next step will be to call the BBB. This is very sad and disheartening. He took $2500 from my mother. Please don't use this company. I didn't want to give a star at all but I had to. This address they are attached to is abandoned as well. I had very high hopes for this company. I found this company on yelp. It had decent reviews so I gave them a shot. Jonathan (who is one of the owners) is whom I dealt with throughout this job. I hired this company to put a concrete curb underneath a vinyl fence I have in the backyard to block out any rodents. The estimate was about 30% higher than the other two estimates I received. I chose this company due to the professionalism Jonathan was displaying when I initially had him over to look at the scope of the project. Overall he job was done okay. HOWEVER….The workers left a bunch of stuff in my backyard (12’ 2x4’s, and about 20 cinderblocks) that Jonathan said they will remove everything when they come back to inspect the job they did a few days later. I came to write a review expecting them to still have good 1-2 reviews. BUT I AM GLAD people are coming out and writing honest reviews about them. Just like previous reviewers, I also thought they were good based on few reviews they had on yelp and google (probably fake). Anyways, they did a TERRIBLE concrete job and there are marks everywhere. Jonathon was an extremely rude and racist person and would accuse you of being a scammer if you dont give him money right away. He will demand money from you every time he sees you.. with an EXTREMELY aggressive tone. He was always late or never showed up for work at all. He said it would take few days which ended up taking one whole month. Please AVOID this business at all cost, I KNOW if i paid ALL my money upfront I would have been scammed like t

Avoid at all costs. Do not work with these people. Had work done in May 2022. Unfortunately, I was taken in by the two good reviews that existed on Yelp and a reassuring meeting with Johnathon. I echo everything the others have said ... he says the right thing and seems knowledgeable and courteous. The work is a completely different story. Absolute garbage and no oversight or quality control. They tell you what you want to hear and then hire a random crew from the Home Depot parking lot, and barely check the job because they are out scamming your neighbors. The warranty/guarantee is B.S. Jonathon runs an excellent service for homeowners through Craftsman Roofing & Masonry.They repaired our Chimney, dug down to the foundation of our home to waterproof it, and afterwards laid concrete where necessary. This was all done quickly and efficiently by expert workers. Jonathon updated us regularly and made sure that we were happy with the work done at every step of the way. We were most impressed by not only the excellent work done - but with the meticulous documentation of the work, and great clean up at the end of the project. We just had a big rain storm, and for the first time in 15 years, our basement was dry as a bone. Thank you Craftsman Roofing & Masonry!
