Cropp Metcalfe installed a new furnace in our attic a few years back. We kept having trouble with the furnace turning off, and a tech came out to look at it and fixed what they thought was the ultimate source of the problem. Even though the problem kept reoccurring a fix was made, and we were told if it happened again to set up another appointment. Enter.Hungh Cin. He’s been to our house before to work on our HVAC products. He has an excellent way of getting to the absolute source of the problem, rather than just dealing with the symptoms. Provided high-resolution, color camera inspection of my cast iron sewer line all the way to the main. Exceeded expectations. Bryant was personable, proficent, and professional. Needed a new natural gas 40 gal water heater installed since the old one was 11 years old & issues with the heater gas valve prevented tank’s pilot light from staying lit. Whole process from calling & talking to salesman to order the job, making the appointment then installation including water tank “venting mods”. to satisfy new Md. code requirements was FLAWLESS. Only “complaint” (thus 4 out of 5 stars) was not with the techs. who did a professional job but with the HIGH cost involved.

I authorized replacement of a capacitor, which they previously quoted at $150. I had to leave, and they convinced my wife to pay over $600 for work I did not authorize. Do not allow them to work without a knowledgeable person on top of them. And be prepared for them to offer 'free'/cheap follow up and contracts to give them the chance to inflate the work again.

I waited all day on a Sunday for a service that never came. I scheduled service between 12 and 5 pm on a Sunday (I don’t know why times can’t be narrowed down more but I can live with that). Instead they called at 9:30 and offered to come in 15 minutes, which wasn’t going to work. Then they verified with me that they should not come before noon, which suggested to me they would come near noon. At 3:30 I called to check on the status. They then told me the workman would come between 5 and 6 which I apparently had to remind them was outside the window they had promised and I explained I had to leave the house at 6 pm. They promised to keep me up to date. It is now 5:10 and not only did I not hear from them, but when I called there was nobody to take my call. My daughter has an infant to take
