Dane County Humane Society Thrift Store

I was really disappointed with my purchase at this thrift store. I bought a vase full of jewelry for $28, and more than half of the items were broken, missing pieces, or basically unusable. I get that it’s a thrift store, but for $28, I expected better. I just want to share my experience so others know what to expect.

I've only been in this store twice, and will never come again. The first time I came in, around Christmas, I found a CD "Music of the Luftwaffe". I turned it in to an employee. Today I found a book glorifying the Confederacy. I handed it in to a cashier and informed him I'll never return. For a store with an equality pride flag in the window, they seriously need to be more diligent about what they put out for sale.

The store is well stocked , organized and staffed. The prices are amazing and most everything I saw was worth every penny. I love this store and all the staff. Great job . (They also follow all safety guidelines that allows us to shop in comfort and safety. Thanks)

I was surprised by the large amount of pet supplies they have. Shop here first for unusual pet needs like steps to get up to higher surfaces, a cooling mat, cat tree, gates, dog life vest, and snow booties in various sizes. Also a wide selection of daily need stuff like feeding bowls, harnesses, transporting cases and portable kennels. No need to spend full price when good quality used items are available for a low price. The store is clean, organized, and friendly helpful staff.

Best thrift store in town along with their East side location. It isn't the biggest store, but you're bound to find something! They have affordable fair pricing and offer a rewards card. Most thrifts do not offer rewards anymore, so it's a little more incentive to frequent this one. The volunteer staff are absolutely amazing and so sweet. I often see the same friendly faces and you can tell that they love working there and supporting the mission. I love that the proceeds go to a good (and local) cause. In addition, whenever I need to make a donation, I will always take it here. Thank you all for what you do!
