Dawn Observation Tower

Climb up four flights to the top of this observation tower for a great view of the park. Each landing has an observation deck so you don't have to climb all the way. Sturdy wooden tower, clean, and again, great view!

I had a wonderful visit to this location. The area is perfect with ample parking and lovely picnic spots. Plenty of space for everyone. It was a treat to see three manatees in the water! The kayak launch is modern and well-maintained. However, be aware that they are currently repairing the boardwalk. Unfortunately, the bathrooms were a letdown. Despite having running water, they were not working properly and had draining issues. On the plus side, I found a covered table in the nearby loop that was great for some remote work, with Verizon providing 30 Mbps and Google Fi at 75 Mbps. Note that none of the covered tables have power outlets. The observation tower was fantastic and fun to see everything Overall, it’s a fantastic place with just a few areas for improvement.

The views from the top are great, I've never seen a forest made entirely of palm trees like this in the USA before. Very unique.

Place was cool, clean clear water. It was secluded enough to be one with mother nature and get away from the flow of everyday life. I really appreciate places like this. They really help me clear my mind and talk to GOD. Can't help but smile and have a good time ,no fish thow. Sooner or later I'm gonna post a pic of a monster I caught, I hope lol AJL5
