Derek did an amazing job taking our cramped bathroom and making it much more functional. This wasn’t an easy redesign based on the layout of the bathroom and plumbing fixtures yet Derek pulled it off. What I like best about Derek is that he holds his work to his highest standards. There were a few times that it took him a few times to get it to where he liked how it looked. He often said to me I want it to be done so if it was my bathroom I want it to work just right. You don’t find this level of craftsmanship much anymore. He also is reasonable in his remodeling costs compared to other contractors. Highly recommend using him for your next bathroom remodeling!

As an architect, I cannot recommend Derek at DCM enough. I'd been looking for someone to help me with projects around my house for quite some time. After countless other contractors not listening to me, or what I needed, Derek was the first person to understand the work I needed done, how to do it, get it done in a timely fashion, at a reasonable price. He really cares about the quality of work, and isn't going to half-ass it either. He helped me fix framing and subfloor issues, plumbing problems, and even tile work. Truly a gem in the contractor / handyman world. Definitely worth his weight in gold.

I’m so glad to have found Derek for the first set of what I expect will be many projects around our house. I really appreciate that right from the visit for the estimate he was open, honest and helpful. He made useful suggestions in our best interest rather to increase the amount of work. Derek worked efficiently while being very respectful of our pets, house, and me working from home. The results of the work are great - converting sliding closet doors to bifold, fixing water damage around skylights, upgrading an exhaust fan, and refreshing a tile shower surround. The quote was also much less than the other contractor we had contacted. I anticipate working with Derek in the future on more projects, including ones photogenic enough for a review!

We were so happy to find Derek. My husband and I used to do a lot of work around the house but we don’t bend and twist the way we used to (LOL) and repairs have gotten away from us over the years. We needed a new front door and storm door and we are ecstatic with the work Derek did installing the door, new light fixture and re-stain the cedar shakes surrounding the area. Inside he redid the electric and sheetrock and repainted the hall. He came back to remodel our tiny master bath and we're just blown away with the result!! (See before and after) We loved his open and honest approach and he is a pleasure to work with. Being artists we appreciated his own artistic eye for detail and quality work. We can’t say enough! After our laundry room sustained water damage, we needed the room to be renovated. After several contractor consults/estimates, we decided to hire Derek. Not only did he take his time to explain the renovation process, but he was prompt with communication, fair with his pricing, does quality work, and cares about his clients. We already mentioned that we will be hiring him again to fully gut our on suite bathroom. Thank you Derek for making this stressful situation a lot less of a headache!
