Dean Schaeffer Landscape Construction

We contracted Dean to hardscape our remodeled home over the past 2 years at an expense over $200,000. He was paid immediately every time he asked for a draw. We had several large items that he said he would definitely fix and waranty. We believed him. After last payment in full, he disappeared. Repeated calls to him have been either blocked or ignored. To say the least we are very disheartened. We thought we had contracted a trustworthy guy.

My wife and I closed on our house March 17th and we wanted a fire pit. We contacted Dean a couple weeks even prior to the closing date, in which he came out and provided an estimate. We were in contact with him a few days after because we wanted it a little bigger and asked him when he could start because we wanted it done by June 8th...before my daughter's graduation party. We had money in hand and was just waiting for a start date....acknowledging the fact of a deposit as soon as he started. Weeks went by and communication was distant while trying to contact him through via phone, text, and e-mail and I was starting to become skeptical. He sent a few sporadic emails in April saying his truck broke down but he would still have it completed by June 8th. Needless to say, here it is June 4t

I was looking for someone to do retaining wall and new sidewalk so I called but had to leave a message. After a week without a call back, I tried again and as I was explaining what I wanted done, he interrupted me and said not interested then just hung up. If that’s the type of customer service they offer, I’m glad they didn’t touch my property!

Dean is a long time friend who has always provided the best workmanship and service in all he and his company can do.

Poor workmanship, ineffective problem resolution, and empty promises. Save yourself the money and aggravation and take your business elsewhere.
