We purchased the 50 inch stereo cabinet. It shipped from southern California to northern NY via FedEx Ground and came in an intermodal railroad container as far as Syracuse. We really didn't give much thought when ordering the product as to how it would be shipped but we had a fun time tracking its progress as it took the BNSF TransCon intermodal route from L.A. to Chicago, transferred to CSX and got as far as East Syracuse, NY by train before unloading to FedEx trucks for the final 100 miles. The next thing we had not thought much about was how it would be packaged. We found out when it was delivered and we tried to get into it. This was no cardboard box! it was actually cardboard on the outside glued to ~ 5/16" plywood backing... with protective foam spacers and all strapped toge

Thank you, deciBel Designs. The stereo cabinet you made for me is absolutely stunning. The entire process, from helping me decide on materials and finish, to fabrication and shipping, was very straightforward. The packaging was excellent. It made the long trip from California to North Carolina with no damage. Using the on-line assembly instructions, I was able to put the cabinet together without any problem. Each piece and pre-drilled hole fit together exactly as it should. It is a welcomed addition to the other furniture in the great room and will be a great place for all the stereo components to call home! Thanks again.

We visited the shop and selected Maple wood and the Stain color we wanted. Peter showed us how the cabinet is constructed and finished. It arrived several weeks later in two heavy carefully designed shipping boxes. All the pieces were beautifully manufactured and finished. Everything fit together perfectly. No problems with the assembly at all. I worked slowly and patiently and was rewarded with a wonderful cabinet for my audio equipment. We highly recommend decibel Designs.

I'm extremely satisfied with these shelves, they look so good! The finish is perfect, and the natural oak that I chose looks great. The shelves came very well packed with the hardware included and on-line instructions. No issues putting them together. Overall, from ordering to putting the shelves together, I'm very satisfied indeed!

I ordered a custom cabinet from Peter in October ‘23. At the final stage, Peter decided to use cherry for the lower third of the 100% walnut cabinet I had ordered. I tried to be gracious and try the door in my home, but the cherry was not what I wanted—or what I had ordered and paid for. Peter then got a bit short and told me that I would need to pay to return the door that had been made wrong. $375 later he had the door. It then took him 4.5 months to return the door to me (made with walnut)—when received I realized that he had used the shipping box that had been used for the prior two shipments. The door was broken when received. Instead of continuing to try to get what I ordered from Peter I had a friend glue the two slats that had popped out and carefully repair the third slat
