Deck Renew & Pressure Washing

We signed a contract with him on May 2 for a job that was supposed to take 4 days. I sit here writing this review on August 3 and the job is still not finished. Every single day we are texted excuses for why he can't work. We've heard it all: he forgets his doctor's appointments, he has to wake up early and do "jaw exercises" for two hours which prevent a full day of work, the wind is blowing at 5mph so it's too much of a breeze, his biological clock didn't wake him up, he's ran out of stain for the umpteenth time and it will take a week for the truck to arrive... the list of excuses goes on. He's told us multiple times that the job would be finished by a certain date, and every single time the deadline passes and he begs for another extension. Absolutely, avoid. Unprofessional, does not show up, took 5 weeks to do what was quoted as a one week project. Requested more money in the middle because he said he underquoted at first. Nothing but excuses texted to us every day. Did not do much of what he said he would. He was hired to stain a deck and even when he finally said he was done, he left large swaths of wood completely unstained so I have to finish the job. What he did stain is streaky and unprofessional looking. He said he would match old wood to new wood, but the colors are miles off. To top it off, carelessly burned a hole in my vinyl siding with hot equipment. Just a nightmare.

It was a pleasure working with Deck Renew. When I reached out about having my decks cleaned, they were super punctual and extremely responsive. They did everything they could to make sure my expectations were met. The price can't be beat.
