My child bride and I enjoyed being in the backyard more than just about any other place on earth. Though we had only a poured concrete patio (that came with the house) and a table and chairs set with adjustable umbrella, we had talked for years about adding an actual covered deck for the nirvana of a totally weatherproof way of being outside. As a retirement gift to ourselves, we decided to pursue the backyard project of our dreams. I researched deck and cover building companies on Google and Deck Masters came up at or near the top. Beautiful work. Great team to work with. Blake Stewart took my ideas, and brought them to life. Eric Snyder oversaw the construction, and kept us informed about details all the way through project completion. Couldn’t be happier with the results. Took an ubiquitous 10x10 cement slab, and turned it into a beautiful space to enjoy, and entertain friends and family.

Here’s our story on DeckMasters. We 1st used them for a pergola 22 years ago and we needed to replace it after several hail storms. We called 2 places. When Blake came to see us he could have (and perhaps should have) upsold us, but he didn’t. When Robert came to remove the old structure he asked me “why don’t you put up a covered structure it would give you more usage?”I told him it would cost too much! But he convinced me and we got a quote. It was hard to ignore the quote so we went for it. During construction there were two times when we were unhappy. Eric not only took the time to explain but instead of nickeling and diming us took care of them. Our total experience with them was great and now we have a covered cedar area that is awesome!
