When Ellene Newman with Design 613 assists me with my home renovations. she opens my eyes to choices and possibilities that on my own I would not notice or observe. Ellene is always on time and prepared to make the necessary measurements and recommendations. She is personable as well as exceedingly patient. Ellene is also honest. When Ellene recommends a product, she will explain both the pros and cons of the product in terms of its quality, availability and cost. Ellene will recommend contractors whom she knows are honest and reliable. I would recommend Design 613 to anyone considering a home renovation.

We’ve been extremely happy to work with Ellene in the design and building of our new kitchen. She took our vision and helped bring to a practical realization. And when she disagreed, she ended up being correct. She has an excellent sense of how to maximize the use of space and conveyed it to us. Careful with details in her work and in oversight of the work of others, she was a strong and thoughtful advocate for us. Ellene did a phenomenal job designing our kitchen! Wow, did she deliver in maximizing our space down to the last inch! She is an expert, both at getting the most of the space and prioritizing clients' needs and desires. Every day, as I cook, clear the counters and load the dishwasher, I appreciate the smooth flow and additional workspace she created through a thoughtful plan. Ellene also walked me through the installation, pointing out important details and troubleshooting as work proceeded. Ellene went above and beyond, coming to choose granite with me, guiding me through choosing handles and a beautiful lighting fixture for the peninsula. She even returned special to help me organize my utensils in my new space. Through all this, I have gained a new kitchen and I have gained a new friend

Mrs Newman has been our go-to person in design and function questions for our kitchen and living space renovation. Her attention to detail and willingness to tackle any problem have set her apart from anyone we have ever hired. She has taken my small space and maximized it to include everything I need but thought I could not get. She is able to work within our budget yet still find solutions. Her vision has kept our project focused on our needs rather than get carried away with superfluous extras. Yet we feel that our space has become not only functional but beautiful and welcoming. We will definitely include her services in any upcoming projects we undertake because we have found her guidance and skills indispensable.

Ellene is fantastic. She's creative, kind, effective, helpful. She knows how to combine function and aesthetic. She took the time to ask us about what we need from our kitchen, looked at our inspiration pictures, and offered us sound guidance. We even ordered semi-custom cabinets through her at a VERY reasonable price. She took our tiny outdated kitchen and made it beautiful and functional. Complete with blueprints that were easy for our contractor to use. And 3D renderings that helped us visualize the space and make modifications before ordering cabinets. She even designed a laundry closet for us that has helped us so much! We plan to work with her again in our new home.
