I've left multiple messages (voice and text) for the past several weeks to schedule a time to winterize my sprinkler system. No one has responded. Even mentioned in an early October message that I'm not in a rush, but do need to get it on the calendar. No response. So unprofessional. I called for the last time today. I will update the review/rating if this is resolved. [Edited in response to D&H's reply:] First, I have never dealt with you directly. You dealt with my husband, who passed away. He was a craftsman and did much of the work himself, including spring startup and successfully replacing multiple sprinkler heads. Rick "the 4th generation owner" hides behind his ancestors successes. This guy is a shame. I called them to close down my irrigation system for the season. They used a "brand new high pressured" system to blow out all the lines. The next year they showed up to re-open the irrigation system for the season, but found numerous issues, which never had problems in the past. After 2 weeks of screwing around and coming up with excuses for all the issues, they invoiced me $800 even though there were still problems with underground leakage. I hired the original installers to review the issues. It turns out that my system is not designed for "high pressured" blowing to clear out the lines, which ended up costing over an additional $1000 to properly fix all the problems. D&H is my new sprinkler company! My valve box was full of water, so I contacted D&H to find the leak and possibly replace the leaky valves in the box. I also contacted other companies who were much more expensive and who immediately started talking about possibly having to dig up my backyard. It's the start of the season so it took a couple of weeks for D&H to come out. After draining the box and testing the system, they informed me that I have no leak and that the rain water was just slow to drain out due to the clay dirt. I appreciate their honesty so much. They could have easily lied about the problem to rack up unnecessary charges as most companies do. Instead they showed me how they confirmed that there was no leak. We inherited a very poorly maintained irrigation system when we purchased our home a couple of years back. Ryan, Mike, and the rest of the crew at D&H got our RPZ valve replaced and in compliance with our village, and this season, overhauled our sprinkler system with new heads, and a great WiFi enabled control panel. Ryan took the time to walk us through each of the zones, and the control panel/app for our new system. And since it’s in the middle of a pandemic, I should add that everyone either wore a mask, or, maintained a good distance while working outside. Pricing was very reasonable, and the company is very responsive. We’re so happy we chose D&H to fix our sprinkler system, and would recommend them to any of our friends.
