Our experience with Demasco (DJ General Building and Masonry Inc.) was probably the best experience we have had with any contractor. The original mason for our stone fireplace remodel stepped away from the job 3 days before it was scheduled to begin. Demasco was referred by the manager at Modern Builders in San Marcos. He came the same afternoon I called him, gave us a fair price and got the job back on schedule. He said 4 or 5 days to completion and finished in 5 days. It was a pleasure to have Demasco and his coworker Joel in our home. They were always on time, had excellent communication skills and were polite and neat. Above all they are true craftsmen. We hired Damaso to replace our walkway with pavers after meeting him and going to see one of his larger projects and being impressed. He did such a great job on our walkway that we decided to have him also replace an area of our yard with flagstones. We liked that he did the work himself and was meticulous. He had a helper, but Damaso laid all the stone so they were perfect. Both the walkway and flagstone patio are beautiful, and we would definitely call him again for other projects.

DJ General Building & Masonry did a fabulous job reworking our entire backyard from the ground up. They installed pavers for a patio and walkway, artificial grass, laid rock in the planter areas and planted over 40 plants. We first hired Damaso over 15 years ago to build a stone wall and front patio— he proved to be the best home improvement decisions we’ve ever made. I needed to do paving in my backyard for a newly acquired home. I had estimates from five companies. I chose Damaso because his price was very competitive and he was a very assertive of knowing everything he needed to do. We watched him work for two weeks on the project And we were very impressed with his work ethic. He gave good suggestions about making the project more complete. We like that very much because he knows his industry. When I needed to reconfigure the entrance to our rental house, I called once again on Damaso. I asked him For suggestions because I really did not know how to configure it. He gave great ideas and great suggestions to match the stone with what was their previous previously.
