Drain Openers Plus

Went through home warranty company and had this company dispatched out. Technician wasn’t friendly, stayed less than 7 minutes, told us something was needed which was untrue, and left. I had another company dispatched out (same day) and they fixed the peoblem within thirty minutes. Avoid this company as you’ll only end up needing to call someone else. If I could give ZERO stars, I absolutely would! 😤 Save yourself the headache! I’m reporting to the better business bureau as well.

Phil Truitt has misdiagnosed plumbing issues twice in our home. I just got off the phone with our home warranty company (First American Home Warranty) and told them to never, ever use this company again for a service order for us. Both times he's been here he said there wasn't a leak in a pipe and both times after he left after another contractor poked a hole in the ceiling water poured out. He won't take a good look at anything when he's here. This happened when he was here some years ago (which ended up costing us close to $2,000 due to Phil's inaction) and then last week he told us another crazy story about what is supposedly causing a leak (said it was the air conditioning unit) and because of that an HVAC company was assigned to address the issue. They were sent out to my property by "First American Home Warranty" due to a leaking toilet. They replaced the gasket. Less than a week later it was leaking again and when he came back, he said the toilet was cracked possibly due to freezing. In a heated home when the water line wasn't frozen? I doubt it. My guess is he cracked it when he came out the first time because there were no reports of a cracked toilet. The home warranty company has declined to replace the toilet and told me I could hire someone else to take a look at my expense. I pointed out to the warranty company the previous google reviews and that they may want to contract with another company and his response was that they don't check google reviews.

Zero stars would be more appropriate. Phil was sent out by our home warranty company for an emergency water leak. Did not hear from Drain Openers after a day or two so I called and left a message, no returned call was ever received. A week after putting in the service request he finally came out, still no call, we got a text message the day before. He spent about 5 minutes looking at the bathroom, turned the water on to the toilet and said there was no plumbing leak that water was coming through the shower wall..?? As soon as he left I went back in the bathroom and there was water on the floor coming from the back of the toilet. When I contacted my home warranty company to let them know it was still not fixed, they reached out to Drain Openers and Phil lied to the warranty company and said

Horrible. Doesn’t communicate with home warranty company nor owner of the property. 11 days since he’s been out to my residence. He hasn’t even called in to receive authorization for the parts and labor. I want my service fee back you BUM. Unfortunately this is not first go around with this SHYSTIE character. Apparently he is the only vendor in this area…according to 1st American Warranty. Throw the WHOLE “business” away!! 🗑️
