DSR Moving Corporation

PLEASE consider other moving companies before using DSR. After they quoted everything over the phone and by a virtual video, extra fees and costs were added to the bill that should have initially been discussed during the quote. Be advised that if its wet on your moving day because of rain (that is out of anyones control) they will charge you extra. The movers did not wrap up any furniture whatsoever before loading it on the truck to be protected from damage. Even though everything was already packed up and ready to be moved, the owner of the company repeatedly made unprofessional remarks, wore his music devices in his ears during the entire move and refused to remove certain items from the apartment. Updating my review in March 2017. Two years after I first used DSR and wrote my initial review, I found myself moving again. I knew I would use DSR because they did such a great job the first time, but I wondered if that was just one good group of guys that I had gotten lucky to work with. With a totally different crew, I had the same results - fantastic service at a great price, and I couldn't be happier with the move. I'm not sure how DSR finds people with such good attitudes, but these guys just knock it out with a smile all day long. By far the best moving experience I've had. These guys worked quickly and do a great job, just like all the reviews say. They finished my move in faster time and for less money than I thought would be possible.

I had to work with the DSR movers two consecutive weeks, to assist with my house move. Dwight, who is the owner was a pleasure to work with. Very professional and available to discuss alternative options for my move. The crews were REALLY professional and hard working during both moves. Bottom line, i would highly recommend them to others and for sure I would reach out to them if I had to do another move.

I first used Dwight and his team in 2010 to move from a home we sold in South Cary to a rental in North Cary as our home was being built. I was skeptical as I always am with movers because I've had not so good experience with movers in the past including the ones who moved us cross country. We have very expensive heavy duty furniture including a Drexel Heritage china cabinet weighing about 600 lbs. with plenty of breakable glass. The move from the home to the rental went smooth except for a small scratch on the fridge door. Dwight without hesitation paid for a brand new door, had it shipped to us and came to our home and installed it immediately. I hired DSR to complete my move. They started off great, were on time and brought extra supplies to help. But as the day progressed things started going downhill. My leather,headboard was not wrapped and is torn. My nightstand was not wrapped and fell down the steps. I found parts to my kids toy out in the yard where the truck was parked. They have a large stack of furniture pads out in truck very few were used. They were in a huge rush and did nothing but fly through the unloading process. I'm paying by the hour. And agreed to pay for extra hours, so why they had to rush and mess up my furniture tells me one thing....they really dont care about other peoples expensive furniture. I haven't paid them. And I wont until I am satisfied.
