Duke Energy FL - Ulmerton West Substation

You guys are the absolute worst! If you didn’t have a monopoly on power here you would go out of business due to your lack of customer service! I had set up auto pay and yet you still shut me off, you have $1600 deposit and you shut me off for $78. You also only give a 3 hour window to pay before shutting off. You also never have sent me a bill. Ever! Fix your company, or allow other electrical companies in the area that actually care about their customers!

They knew there would be power issues after the storm and didn't even have the decency to have a PERSON, A LIVE HUMAN, available to answer questions on the phone. I've had a number of random different messages today all giving conflicting information. I am not asking for my power to be magically restored, but Good grief. The communication is beyond negligent. Deregulate FL, let us be self sufficient with solar, whatever. Just give people a choice. This is a monopoly and a disgusting way to treat people. Greedy and disgusting. Worthless company. I cannot imagine why on a normal business day, there isn't a designated team of people, remotely working, from another state, as this company serves many, that can answer the phone and give us an update as their obviously overwhelmed automated syste

If I could leave 0 stars I would. No power after storm for days now, despite beautiful weather last 2 days. Not a single duke truck in sight for days. This is what happens when companies become legal monopolies, they have flimsy power setups and could care less if people go weeks without power. Whatever happened to putting lines underground?

Why is the most expensive power company also the one with the absolute worst service? Why is that the only choice we have here in Florida? My power has been off for over 16 hours now. With no updates except for text messages telling my power is restored even though my power has not been restored. I truly do hope Duke energy goes out of business.

The sun is out and no rain all day after Ian missed Clearwater but Duke is no where to be found with all the outages. No trucks in sight anywhere, no updates about outages. But they are getting big money from government to help during storm. Why is this the only power company in Florida? The power goes out from wind.
