A Good stop over or rest or stretch before you make your way to Kings Canyon National Park. The overlook is located on the right side of the road as you make your way up. The view is outstanding and will give you an idea of high is the entrance to the national park. I believe the elevation at this location is somewhere around 4000 ft. Highly recommended to take some time and enjoy the views!
On the way to Kings Canyon National Park, we stumbled upon this scenic overlook on E. Kings Canyon Road in Dunlap. The vista point at 4000 ft elevation offers stunning views of the Sierra Nevada mountain range and the surrounding landscape. There is a small turnout parking lot where you can park and enjoy the scenic view.
