Eastern Home Inspection

My experience with this business was very frustrating and disappointing. Their obligation is to the buyer and therefore I(seller) was never notified of them running the washer and water from the washer leaking into my house causing $5,000 of damages. When addressed with owner of company and inspector, they were very unprofessional and rude. This escalated to the point of legal proceedings. This process caused me significant stress, wasted time, and additional costs. Based on what I went through, I would not feel comfortable recommending this business to others.

Words cannot even begin to describe my displeasure with Easternhome inspection. Although the inspector was a nice man, he was slow, distracted and missed many crucial issues with the home- pests, leaks, etc. He came and took pictures with a digital camera from the 90s. He said he couldn't get on the roof because it was steep, so he zoomed in on his digital camera instead to "inspect" it. I called to ask why they didn't send a drone and was told that "we don't do drones." 0 reasoning, just that they don't do it. You know what else they don't do? Proper inspections. He took notes by hand on a piece of paper, that he later got water all over, bleeding his pen scribbles. Inspector that came out, Bob Peoples, spent time diligently checking out all areas of the home we ultimately purchased. From the inside checking out all receptacles, Lighting, appliances, HVAC units to the outside roof, Windows, sheds along with the outside electrical lighting and outlets. When complete he went over all of his notes before giving us an in depth report where he took the time to go around and point out with us what he considered deficiencies and weak spots along with a written report. Would definitely recommend Eastern Home inspections to anyone wishing to have a property checked out before purchasing. Joe Malandro

The inspector arrived early to the home inspection and greeted us with an explanation of the expectations we should have for the day. The inspector had spoke with the neighbor to get further information about the roof age and where there might be issues with water drainage on the property - absolutely above and beyond and so well appreciated. After the inspection, we received a 28 page report that was super thorough and filled with recommendations of how we might better protect ourselves at this property! We really appreciate all of the effort that inspector Mike went through to get us a great picture of the state of the house.

I used Mike for a new home purchase and he was great. Thorough and explained everything in detail. His report was very detailed and he answered all my questions. He also showed me how to use some of the appliances and other features of the house.
