Ed Ball Garage

This is the best place to park for your building permit visits. There is access to the Ed Ball building and Building Department on the second level of the garage.

Very conveniently located. Prices clearly displayed as you enter. TAKE A GOOD LOOK BECAUSE THEY ARE VERY HIGH. Attendant was on duty in the morning and early afternoon. Ramp seems too narrow for two-way traffic; the car going down would likely have to reverse for a car going up.

I was charged $53.75 for two hours. I see another commenter here was charged exactly the same for 3 hours. Obviously an arbitrary number. I disputed the credit charge but the vendor will not relent. This garage is owned by the city of Jacksonville. Avoid this place until this issue is resolved.

It’s a decent garage in a good location but are ticket had the wrong enter time on it and they charged us $50 for 3 hours and we couldn’t figure it out until we left. And of course can’t contact anyone afterwards. Only other thing we don’t like about this garage is that you can’t park backwards.

This parking garage no longer takes cash. Debit and credit cards only!! I was parked there for 54 mins. When i went to pay (and learned they did not take cash at all) they wrote me a City of Jacksonville Parking Citation for $1.00. I was told I could pay it at ANY tax collector's office. I tried to pay it downtown in the courthouse and was turned away. I tried to pay it at the Cedar Hills Tax Collector's Office and was turned away. Finally, I went to the Hogan Road Tax Collector's Office and I was allowed to pay it. However...it was no longer a $1.00 payment. It was a $7.00 payment!! One day after receiving the ticket!! Nobody could tell me HOW it went from a $1.00 fee to a $7.00 fee. The rep at the Hogan Road location didn't even charge me the $6.25 fee they normally charge when you do A
