Confirmed a $132 flat-rate diagnostic twice before booking. Made it clear I did not want variable or hourly billing. Technician (Juan) arrived, performed a basic check, then said the unit would need to be uninstalled to properly diagnose it. While in my home, he called his manager, Sean. Suddenly the flat rate no longer applied and they wanted to switch to hourly billing. That was never disclosed upfront. A flat diagnostic fee should cover whatever steps are reasonably required to diagnose the issue. Changing the pricing structure after arrival is not acceptable. Sadly, following an exemplary review after my first experience with EDS, I have been left extremely disappointed. After an emergency request for repairs, I agreed to the annual service maintenance contract. Approximately two months later, I was contacted and informed I was eligible for my first inspection/cleaning. I scheduled it and the technician informed my wife the coils were in need of cleaning. We agreed and were led to believe that this had been completed and we were happy we had done so. Roughly two months later, I came home from work and noticed water coming from under my garage door.
