MECHANICS BEWARE. Replaced a PCM for a customer’s car. New car PCM came with pre-programmed blank key. Went to Elliot’s Hardware to very simply have a customer’s blank key cut to match her current ignition cylinder. What should have been a very easy, approx 1 minute job ended with me walking out of the store completely speechless and confused. I was refused a simple service because apparently cutting a chipped key “is a liability” because “it might not work”. Employee told me they absolutely will not cut my key, and that the owner would straight up fire them if they did. Elliot’s then referred to a local locksmith that would cut the key.. for $140!! To cut a key! Insane, and there was no way I was going to approach MY customer with that nonsense price. Not sure Elliot’s and this other l

Very nice store.. very clean and organized. A gentleman greeted us as we entered. Unfortunately they didn’t have what we needed but would return if I needed something else.

Very nice clean store for your hardware needs. Whether it be AL who helped me get what I need, or Phyllis who checked out my items at the register, the folk here are very kind and helpful. I must also mention that Ms. Maura Aranda (who primarily works at the Dallas office) was kind enough to correspond with me via email to inform me that they carry the kitchen cabinet hinge I was looking for (which is not available at home depot). Since they are smaller than the big chains like Lowes & Home Depot, the ease of getting assistance with what you're looking for, would definitely put this place above the others. 5 Stars from me! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Best hardware store around that's not a big box store. Friendly staff and they know their stuff. Highly recommend the Mesquite location.
