Attempted to call their Plainfield location to order some retaining wall blocks. They hung up on me not once but twice. At least the common courtesy of telling me that they don't want to deal with home owners but only contractors could have been an easier and slightly more pleasant way to deal with me. However their choice was to just hang up on me twice. Only after I told them the quantity I wanted to buy. (I assume not enough for them) They have nice platitudes on website about how they care about customers. That's clearly not the case. I only got their number through Belgard's website. I bought pavers from this company and had it delivered to my home. On 4/18, the delivery person Juan used a forklift to deliver the pavers to my driveway. Upon entering the driveway, the forklift ripped up the front of my driveway (which is caught on camera). I immediately spoke with Juan who assured me that this company would fix the damages. However, when I called Empire to follow up, I was told by Ricardo, Branch Manager, that he would speak with Newton, Area Manager, about the damages. On 4/25, I called Empire to follow up again with Newton but when the customer service rep transferred the call, the phone rang 3 times and hung up. Great facility for all your landscaping needs. This is an industrial facility that mostly caters to landscapers who know what they need. If you are a homeowner and don't know what you need, it may be overwhelming thus I suspect the reason for the negative review last week. You should have an idea of what you need before you go there. It is not a showroom. Bill and Mike are great and nice guys who will help you out if you are patient.
