Terrible horrific NIGHTMARE Englishman will give you a reasonable quote, then keep trying to ask all the items he can think about to get extra money. For me, he asked for: 1. dumpster, 2.extra delivery fee to deliver pavers, 3.extra cost for pavers( the same paver, he said his estimate is not enough to cover the driveway, actually he ordered enough, just won't get them delivered at one time) 4. polymeric sand and paver edge After paying him 60% of the whole project as a deposit in October, I"ve used an unpaved DIRT ROAD for 10 weeks. Signed contract end of March for starting work in April 2nd or 3rd week, its June now and still waiting .. worse still Dave promised he will start work on May 24th,got 1 person to dig my backyard and front of the house and then doesn't turn up! Doesn't answer calls and is rude most of the time, says he has 30 other jobs! We thought experience matters and gave him the job , my neighbors who went with other contractors already have new driveway , never make mistake of signing a contract with him. Dave seemed professional when I spoke to him on the phone. He came to my house, reviewed the job and gave me a fair quote. We scheduled the work to be done on a Monday. He called Sun night to confirm. I mentioned that I had some other work being done, but he needed to do the job on Monday, so I adjusted my schedule and he slotted me in for mid-afternoon. I called Dave 3-4 times starting at 4 pm when I didn't hear from him. He finally called me back at 7:30 pm and said I messed up his schedule and that he could have come to my house earlier, but he got a call to do a much bigger job in Franklin Lakes...so he took that one instead. I signed a contract with Dave on March 16th 2021 as well as giving him a deposit for installation of new driveway . Dave seemed professional price was fair. Original contractor I wished to use was very busy and clearly told me mine was a small job and would not be done for several months. So I went with Englishman paving. He told me the job would be completed in April, April came and went called several times finally got a response said he would be here first week in May. No calls no work. I called the office and cell phone numerous times once a week. Finally a response said he was backed up on jobs and would get to me before end of May . I informed him that if the work was not completed or at least started by end of May I would expect my CASH deposit back. I have not heard from him called

Have to install a new driveway. Paid a deposit 50% in May 2021 in August 2022 the driveway is not done - not even started. The owner gives me all kind of excuses why and no one knows when he is going to start of finish it. Going to the court in the coming days to enforce some soft of actions on his part. Cannot wait another year for the contract to be fulfilled.
