As I wrote 2.25.2023 this place has new ownership and has reopened the gift shop with a good selection of products. It is not known when renovations to the tower will be finished. It will have great sunset views I expect.
Great view from the tower. 108 non-steep steps to the top. Very sturdy. Friendly staff.
Yes, it's not a lighthouse, but it just as good. For the price ($2) it's a perfect spot to see sunset.
Put in $10 and supposedly get 3 tokens to go past the turnstile and $4 in coins returned. We got 3 tokens and no money back. Young lady at the building in front had no idea who to contact to get your money. SCAM! Nice photos but not worth $10 if you’re honest.
Great gift shop, very friendly staff, and the observation tower was well maintained. Much taller than it seems from the road.
