Eureka Floor Carpet One

I don't usually leave bad reviews unless I think the consumer should be aware. We got our stairs carpeted in our two story home that was built in 1950, nothing is plumb. Well the installer only took one measurement and due to the fluctuations in the with of these old stairs the carpet couldn't reach to cover to the wall of the staircase. We contacted Eureka Floor Carpet One and they sent their guy out to try to fix the situation. He didn't, because you cant stretch carpet. The best he could do was to split the difference. He was so rough with his tool he snagged up the carpet. Now every time I look at the stairs I am reminded of the gap, and how we have to figure out a way to trim the steps in. We are pleased with our new floor, albeit the project isn't completely done yet due to pieces on backorder, however, I'd recommend shopping around before settling on this company. Initially, we were excited to work with them and to see our new floor installed. The process, though, was made confusing between what we were told by the salesperson, the estimator, and the installer. None of their spiels seem to line up. And they certainly didn't line up with what the written contract spelled out. Our job ended up costing close to $7,000 and both my wife and I don't feel that amount for the service that was provided equates. We were told by the estimator to remove the existing transitions and they would replace them. Now, we find out they can't do what they told me they were going to do. We ask

I don’t normally leave reviews unless they are positive. But in this case I do wish we had spent our money somewhere else. The final bill for our project was roughly 20% higher than the estimate. In particular, some work that their estimator indicated would cost $600-$700 ended up costing over $2000. I tried two in person visits, some emails and a few voicemails to get an explanation, but the owner refused to communicate with us. The only communication I had was when they asked their bookkeeper to contact me about payment. Even though I never got a good explanation, I ended up paying the full bill because I felt sure they would just turn me over to a collection agency instead of justifying their invoices. Fantastic job! Eureka Floor refinished our hardwood floors and did a wonderful job. Our floors looked amazing and Eureka Floor was even able to repair one stair that was damaged and bring it back to pristine condition. They used high quality finish from Bona which I really appreciated, and the work went as smoothly as a newly finished oak floor. :) They finished on time and even refunded us when the actual work cost less than the estimate--when does that ever happen? I could not recommend them more highly.

I've had flooring done by Eureka Floor Carpet One twice, and been very happy with the results. The estimate was thorough, installation was quick and professional, and the installers communicated with us well. The end product looks great. I personally like that customers can wander around the showroom unharassed, but people who want lots of attention might be mildly bothered that the employees mostly leave you to look unless you ask for help. Works for me, though!
