Once you pay your deposit, do NOT expect to hear from them again. Their sales team was very professional and up front about the job. However the owner Rob McDonald is the most petty, unprofessional person it has been my misfortune to work with. They have an online portal to track the state of your project but its never utilized. They have a group chat and claim they will respond to your inquiries within 24 hours. This was also a lie. After six months of waiting with ZERO communication, the crew showed up and completed the job in five days. Unfortunately some of the installed boards were warped and needed to be replaced. Per the contract we signed, they are supposed to fix the errors. Instead, we got a message (included) telling us he is essentially refusing to do the job unless we

I found dealing with Excel a very pleasant experience. They were professional and every stage of the project. There was never any pressure to make decisions and they adapted to any changes I made immediately. I would highly recommend anyone giving them a call for their next project.

Excel was absolutely fantastic. They did a large chunk of our new home build, and we truly could not have done it without them. Building a new home from scratch, we dealt with a lot of different contractors and trades. Excel is truly the best of the best. The crew was always on-time, friendly, and kept everything so clean. Rob was especially fantastic. He bailed us out on multiple occasions, fixing problems that other subs left (or even our own shortcomings) with a cool head and invaluable experience. The Excel team is the kind of team you always hope for when you hire a contractor, but that's so hard to find anymore. We feel incredibly blessed that we got to work with them, in so many ways. Don't overthink it -- they're the ones to hire.
