Express Kitchens: Southington

My wife and I decided it was time to remodel our kitchen. We really did not know where to go for answers to all the questions we had. We visited a few cabinet showrooms but still had too many questions. Our next stop was Express Kitchens. When we arrived, Annette Morales greeted us. She was very easy-going and allowed us to view the vast selection of cabinets, countertops, and sinks in the showroom. She guided us through our choices and helped us pick out our new kitchen. She was extremely knowledgeable. She offered suggestions about things to look for and for what to look out for. We decided on a combination we liked and sat down with Annette. Unfortunately the cabinets are not holding up well. We are about 2 years into the cabinets and almost every cabinet is chipped, with new ones appearing daily. The paint is basically just scraping off. I’ve reached out and was told that since it’s outside the 1 year warranty I’m out of luck, but they would give me a new pen. A new paint pen wouldn’t cover the paint scratches on my silverware drawer.

The design and purchase process was great. The sales person Bob that I dealt with was fantastic to work with he genuinely cares that you are happy with the purchase. The countertop install team was also great and did a perfect install and made sure not to damage my house or kitchen. Unfortunately the actual cabinet install didn’t go as planned. It was installed but the quality of the finish work was bad. Several scuff marks were left behind on trim, panels and doors as well as excessive finish nail holes. Marks left behind on my newly painted ceiling. They also forgot to brace the lazy susan. I raised these concerns to the customer service team and received little to no support. I was forced to fix these issues myself. No credit has been issued or any type of gesture made to compensate m

I would not recommend Express Kitchens. After they installed the countertops, they left the area underneath the countertop unfinished. I requested that they apply a small piece of trim to cover this unfinished segment but my customer service representative said it was my responsibility to have that done. I’m having my painter complete this task at an additional cost of $150. Likewise, I had a problem with the plumber they sent to reconnect my dishwasher. The plumber installed the dishwasher crooked. When I called Express Kitchens, they said that it wasn’t their fault because the plumber shouldn’t have reconnected it in the first place. This makes absolutely no sense. I ended up having to call someone else to fix it at a cost of $150. I spent thousands to have my kitchen

The cabinets do not last. Not even installed for 6 months, paint is peeling and seams are splitting. We called and they did send a new door, but it cost $46.00 to have it shipped. It is only two adults, no small children. Cabinets are only for under the sink. Not even used daily.
