I can’t recommend Extra Help Movers in Beacon, NY enough — hands down the best moving company I’ve ever used! We were moving from Beacon to Newburgh and everything about the experience was perfect. The crew (shoutout to Mike and his team) showed up exactly on time, were super friendly, and handled all our furniture with incredible care — nothing scratched, nothing broken. They wrapped everything professionally, disassembled and reassembled our beds and dining table without us even asking, and worked fast but never rushed. Pricing was completely transparent — no hidden fees or surprise charges at the end, which is rare these days. They gave us a fair flat rate upfront and stuck to it. If you’re moving in Beacon, Fishkill, Cold Spring, or anywhere in the Hudson Valley, do yourself a favor

01/03/26: Update: He finally called my daughter around 2:30 with a non-sensical excuse and said he could come now. We had already scrambled to make other arrangements (again our appt was at noon). She asked for her deposit back which he resisted. He then apparently saw my review and said now she definitely wouldn't get her deposit back and to put that in the review. In all honesty if he just would have apologized and given her the refund I would have happily removed the review. But he threw a tantrum instead and insists on dragging this out and making it exponentially worse for himself. Well done sir. 01/02/26: No stars of I could. Seems to have scammed us. Made the appointment for noon today, paid via Square. They didn't show, phone is disconnected and website is all garbled now.

Stay away from these people. I used them in September and paid for services in full. My mistake, I gave them my credit card and in December they are still charging my account for 3 to 5 hundred dollars at a time. Xavier is the most dishonest person I've ever dealt with. stay away from these people!

Extra Help Movers canceled on me the morning of my scheduled move, then rescheduled for the next day and never showed up. Because of their no-show, I was forced to hire another company at the last minute, which ended up costing me an extra $400. I tried to get my deposit refunded, but they wouldn’t cooperate and I had to dispute the charge with my bank. Extremely unprofessional.
