This place is absolutely amazing. Don't have gear? They'll take care of ya. The place looks like a museum when you go it showing pictures, trophies, and monuments to the great sport from wall to wall. I had the opportunity to fence there as my first time ever and the instructor, Andy, was so inviting and willing to teach. Before I knew it I was sparring while he was giving me pointers. Andy has been fencing for 30 plus years, winning many titles and has personally knew and trained some of the greats of the sport. His passion for what he does just pours out of him when you talk to him. If you have never fenced before or are experienced I highly recommend this place.

Andy and Nathan are exceptional teachers who encourage self-discipline, fair play, and fun. Andy, who has been fencing 60 years, teaches students one on one and tailors lessons to meet the needs of the student as well as how he or she learns.

Andy Shaw is passionate about the sport of Fencing and it shows in everything that happens in this cozy Fencing School. The space also doubles as the American Museum of Fencing with a wide array of displays, trivia and memorabilia from Fencers and their coaches. Highly recommend and he takes all ages from about 7 and up!

This place is truly amazing. This establishment also houses the American Fencing Museum and has antiques. Artifacts and possessions of fencers and the national fencing organizations from the beginning of fencing in the United States. The owner and teacher, Andy Shaw, was both a top notch national fencer and director (referee) for many years and has trained Olympians, as well as celebrities for movie roles. He can share stories for days and knows the history of each item in his museum. By far the most interesting fencing club, in my opinion, in the United States, even if it hasn't been around as long as many others - it has only been in existence for about 20 years. If you are in the area, or want to give fencing a try, this is the place to go, no doubt about it.

My son attended here with other homeschoolers about 15 years ago and still uses the lessons Andy taught at the time! Highly recommend
