Financial District Garage

DO NOT PARK HERE ESPECIALLY IF DRIVING A RENTAL CAR. I paid for parking here using Spothero. I was then issued a parking ticket. It was issued based on photos taken upon entry and exit and mailed to the owner's address. Since I was driving a rental, the rental car company paid the ticket and since it was mailed to the rental company and not me, I had no opportunity to dispute it. Now I am out $70 USD and have no recourse.

After reading all the bad reviews for this parking garage, I was a little scared to park here today. But we went for it anyway, and it was a perfect experience. I paid using my phone and received a discount from the local establishment we ate at. The process was faster than other parking apps and you don’t even have to stop at the gate on your way out! It is really neat and I would absolutely park here again. No problems at all.

I’m not from around here but I go to this one food spot to get food. I came here to park so I could walk downtown Detroit for a little bit. Today (two weeks later) I receive a $80 parking ticket for a fee of $10 that I did not pay. First of all the gates were WIDE open on both sides the entire time my car was parked, you couldn’t grab a ticket from the kiosk stating how much you should pay, and there was no attendee. When I go to other cities usually when the gates are wide open that day the garage is free so how was I supposed to know?? & an $80 ticket is ridiculous. So I go to the website online right? Another ticket from October for $80 with a picture of my car when you clearly see the gates open. Why are the gates open if I’m supposed to pay? Why can’t I grab a ticket ? Why was no one

Drove all the way to Detroit to visit Fort Street Galley because the parking garage was supposed to offer a parking voucher. It just so happened that on that particular day they had an event and decided to get rid of the voucher. I was not going to pay 20$ for parking. If they're going to offer parking vouchers for visiting Fort Street Galley AND ADVERTISE IT, they should do it every. single. day. No exceptions.

I only gave this garage one star so I could make my review otherwise it would be zero stars. This structure is not safe. Anybody can just drive in and out. There's no gaurd rail to prevent someone from leaving out if someone wants to steal your car. My car and another car parked next to me were broken into. Terrible parking structure. NOT SAFE AT ALL!!! DONT PARK YOUR CAR HERE!!!
