Mikes’ team was fast, but cut a lot of corners. Additionally, every few weeks the price increased from the original estimate by thousands of dollars. Mike guaranteed his planted plants for a year, but wouldn’t come back to replace the plants that died as promised. The worst thing though, I paid him for 13 sheets of T1-11 siding he never brought. He stole from us. We repeatedly texted him and he never responded. The only time we finally heard back was when he accidentally drunk texted us while playing poker. He should have his business licenses revoked.

Avoid Mike and first choice landscaping at all costs. He took $7,000 for work and left us in the wind now refusing to communicate. The work he did do had cut corners and issues which lead to us having to pay more for other competent contractors to finish the work. I wish I had read reviews or seen the lawsuits against him and his wife before I ever did business with him.

Mike did significant landscape rework for us last year. He also rebuilt our three tiered garden plot and it should be good for another 30 years. This year in addition to more landscape refresh and clean up he removed and replaced our very aged driveway plus a deteriorating sidewalk to the back yard. The work was quick, professional and looks great. I highly recommend Mike and First Chiice Landscape.

Be careful and watch carefully while working with Mike and his crews. He will try to exploit the areas where you don't know what things are to take shortcuts on work. For example, he had told us that he was going to install a backyard drip system on one of the four lines in the sprinkler box. Instead he attached the drip system onto one of the sprinkler heads on the front yard, probably because it was easier and faster to install. When caught not following through with what he'd said he would do, he claimed that one of us had ok'd the change. To be clear no one asked us, he just made that up!
