Five Star Lawn and Landscaping

Tod came out the day after I requested a quote. I discussed with him what I would like to have done. He also made some nice suggestions and together, we came up with a plan. He made a lot of notes and took pictures of the site. I accepted his reasonably priced estimate and work began the following week. Three guys came that morning on time, with everything they needed, including pages of pictures that Tod had taken. The landscapers and I went over the plan once again to make sure we were all on the same page. They then began work right away. They were polite, energetic, and very hard working. Trey and his guys did a great job on my drainage project. The timeline was tight based on winter weather and they worked diligently to rearrange projects to fit me in. I appreciate their professionalism and honest communication. They will always be welcome back for future work.

BEWARE- I hired Five Star Lawn & Landscaping on November 4, 2022 to complete multiple projects around my new fiber glass pool. Their new PM told me they were more expensive than the competition but the best contractor in North Alabama for concrete, landscaping, and pool coping. I strongly believe that you get what you pay for, so I felt good about my decision to hire them. That decision was a huge mistake. They told me they would complete my project in about 2 1/2 weeks and it would be complete before Christmas, but it might take longer because of the weather. I completely understood that it could be delayed by a few weeks and I was willing to wait. This is our second project with Five Star Landscaping. We do have very positive experience on both projects. The first project involved planting trees, making flowerbeds and doing the landscape lighting. Five Star done outstanding job. Their schedule management was very good and the prices are very reasonable. The second project was much more extended, as it involved fixing drainage problems on our backyard (french drain, spouts rerouting etc etc), paving patio, installing a firepit and fixing the yard after the pool was installed (paving, resodding, planting trees, installing irrigation). Five Star did outstanding job in fixing our backyard drainage problems at the very reasonable price point. They have installed a very nice patio and firepit, as well, as paved walkway around

5-Star has consistently provided the best lawn and shrub care for my home over the last 6 years. The services performed have included mowing, edging and mulching. I had a drainage issue that they identified and corrected. Eventually getting grass to grow and thrive in areas that had no growth. A call to the front office, Christi and Todd and the other great folks there spring into action and any small issue was addressed immediately and corrected. If you’re looking for a great mowed lawn, edging, flower garden care, look no further than 5-Star. My yard is the BEST in the neighborhood. Picture is worth all the words in this review.
