Martin and his team at Forde Masonry performed in depth repair work on our 100 year old Georgian colonial, including lintel replacements and full repointing on one side where we suspected water was getting in. Bricks around the windows were carefully removed and put back in the same decorative layout after rusted lintels were dug out and replaced with new stainless steel angle irons. They also repaired, repointed and replaced where necessary bricks on our window wells and front steps, including replacement of several bluestone treads. Forde Masonry helped me finally complete a project I’ve been putting off for years. They recently rebuilt a whole leaning chimney, the top of a second chimney, and repointed a large brick wall of my 1910 home. The work looks decent and I expect it will also pass the test of time with regard to mortar composition which I’ve come to learn is important for buildings this old.
