Living in the snow-belt of VT, a warm home is literally a life and death matter. We were scheduled to have an oil delivery today. Around mid-morning I received an email saying that because our road was not plowed, they could not deliver. (Our road was plowed last evening.) I immediately called to ask why I was not called right away about this. They said they tried, but no answer. I was never called. I asked if I had the road plowed now, could they still deliver today, which they responded no, they had already moved on and it would have to wait till next week. In addition to this, they mentioned calling multiple times to schedule an inspection. I have no record or any calls or voicemails to support this. Unfortunately, today was the last straw and now I'm scrambling to get an oil deliver

Order fuel at 20% never came had to pay emergency fee so I don’t run out been through them for year poor customer loyalty what up with the fuel places this year!!!!

Horrible company. Tried several times to schedule repairs to my furnace. They kept putting me off and saying they would call me back. Long story short they never called back or ever scheduled a repair service. I’ve come to the conclusion that they don’t really know how to repair anything and that they don’t care about their customers! I’m now going to another company that actually works on furnaces and appreciates their customers!

Absolute worst company. They installed a heat pump and now refuse to repair it. They say they will call back and never do. Their service team is incredibly rude. Do not use them! Use absolutely anyone else

I’d rather have a root canal than have to deal with this company again. Every single person I have dealt with at Fred’s Energy is either unfriendly, incompetent or doesn’t show up on time. Customer service goes a long way and these folks lack any bit of understanding of what that means. Would give negative stars if it was possible. Their tag line of “you’ve got a friend” is laughable.
