G Lopes Construction Inc

Been seeing the expansion of G Lopes trucks for a plethora of years growing up in Brockton driving thru the cities and towns also the highways & biways . Talked to an employee real quick this morning . He was respectful ! ~ Thank you for helping the communities

Got run off the road by a Lopes Construction driver (plate 12E7) who clearly doesn’t know how to merge. Honestly, I’ve always heard this company is cheap and poor quality so I’m not surprised their drivers handle the road the same way.

Ordered material from J&J and they pushed all the blame to these guys, so I figured I should rate them as well. I ordered 20 yards of pine bark mulch from J&J. This mulch is completely different then the previous 80 yards I've ordered. They have significant consistency issues. The manager Maurice said quote " I don't check every spec of mulch" and "Call G-Lopes that's where we get our mulch from". If the mulch was even close I wouldn't be complaining but its completely different. He actually blamed G-Lopes and said they didn't "Cook" it enough because the demand is so high... This shouldn't be my problem. There is plenty of other better places to get material.

My only experience with this company is avoiding their drivers on the road who seem to have no regard for other travelers. Like today around 4:40 p.m. on Winthrop Street in Taunton where the truck with MA plate V33-435 pulled out of the New England recycling facility in front of me on my motorcycle causing me to have to brake quickly on corrugated pavement as they are repaving the road. You need to teach your driver's basic safety especially looking out for motorcycles. This would have been a simple voicemail complaint but when I called the company there was no way to do such.

I spoke to Deb Dutra at a Chamber of Commerce meeting, and asked how i would go about getting a load of rock to fill in at the corner of my parking lot. She said she would have someone contact me. Within an hour, Carlos Sousa who is a sales consultant with G. Lopes called me. I asked if I could order two loads of Riprap rock. After scheduling the delivery, Carlos called me and said he took a ride over to see if I needed two loads. He called me and said he would love to sell me 80 loads but truly you only need one. I cant believe the way I was treated. They treated me as if I was a big contractor. The Lopes family and their staff are great. Again as many big jobs that they have, they still treat the small home owner with the service they would give to a major contractor!
